Fifth graders name WYDOT plows

On January 23, our fifth graders went on a field trip to the local WYDOT building. A few weeks earlier they were challenged to come up with the most creative snow plow names in the state.

They successfully proved that not only were they the best but exceptional. As a reward, they got to go see the local plows, and were delighted to find their names on the plows.

The names included Snokyo Drift, Vincent Van Snow, Sleetle Juice, Plowboy Joe, Plowed American, Snowbuster and Slim Snowy.

The kids got to sit in the plows and made several of their friends jump when they honked the horn. After checking out the plows, the fifth graders went to play on a ginormous snow hill right outside the building.

They dug up snow blocks and stacked the blocks into about a four-foot tower, and cheered as Vincent Van Snow plowed it right over. That concludes the fifth graders’ day at the local WYDOT.
