Wrestlers take on Hettinger Classic

The Sundance wrestlers faced some stiff competition as they participated in the Hettinger Classic over the weekend.

Shyla Shoun held her own as she took a 5th place finish in the 136 pound weight class. In her final match, Shoun delivered an impressive performance, pinning her competition in 2:22.

On the boys’ side, Kale Harless faced a challenging field in his weight class but managed to battle his way to a 7th place finish as he recorded a win by fall in just 48 seconds. Tel Marchant, Lyman Halverson, Keaton Mayberry and Wudzie Zaato also displayed impressive determination throughout the weekend but came up just short of placing.

The Bulldog grapplers will hit the road this week as they travel to Hulett on Tuesday and Newcastle on Friday.
