Upon Dwight's graduation from college the couple relocated to Sundance, where they made their home for the next 27 years. They later moved to Baggs, Wyoming and Livingston, Montana but returned to Sundance upon Dwight's retirement.
Mary Ann spent countless hours working in their wood shop and various other jobs but the most important role to her was raising her two children David and Josh. Mary Ann was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Sundance where she taught Sunday school, was active in the Ladies Guild and loved planting and tending the flowers in the church's memorial garden.
