The holiday season is officially here and Sundance invites you to welcome Santa to town on Friday, December 6, when the downtown will play host to all manner of Christmas-themed events.
The annual parade of lights will take place at 5:30 p.m. along Main Street to the theme of “Ritz, Glitz and Rednecks”.
This year’s entries will be judged in two categories: overall appearance and originality.
The Shop Small Punch Card contest winner will be announced during the parade.
Once the parade is over, warm yourself up with a bowl of chili in the courthouse basement during the annual fundraiser for Sundance EMS. Hot cocoa, hot apple cider and coffee will also be available courtesy of Sundance United Methodist Church.
Also in the courthouse basement, browse the wonderland of wreaths that will be available via silent auction to benefit the Sundance Friends of the Library.
The wreaths will be on display at the library until that afternoon, when they will be taken across to the basement for the silent auction. Winning bids will be announced during the chili feed.
Head to Old Stoney for the annual museum open house, which will include an opportunity for some one-on-one time with Santa and your chance to taste delicious candy and vote for the winner of the contest.
Before or after the parade, stop in at Crook County Senior Services to enjoy a craft fair, with hot chocolate, cookies and coffee available.
