Winning week for Lady Bulldogs

The Sundance Lady Bulldogs took a break from conference play this week as they went up against the Hulett Red Devils and the Newcastle Dogies. Opening play on Tuesday, at home, against the Red Devils, the Lady Bulldogs came out strong, taking the first set with an impressive 25-8 victory.

Although the Red Devils rallied throughout the second set and edged out a 23-25 win, Sundance quickly regained their momentum. The Lady Bulldogs dominated the third set with a decisive 25-9 victory and didn't look back.

The Red Devils gave another strong effort in the fourth set, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Bulldogs, who claimed the match with a final score of three sets to one.

On Saturday, the Sundance Bulldogs traveled to Newcastle to face the Dogies, finding themselves in a similar situation but with the roles reversed. The Sundance team took the first set 25-15 but fell in the second 12-25.

Hoping to gain their momentum back, the Lady Bulldogs pushed it to extra points for the next two sets, unfortunately, they were on the short end, falling to the Newcastle Dogies four sets to one. 

The Bulldogs will have a busy weekend as they host the Spearfish Spartans on Thursday. The 'C' team will start at 4:30, followed by junior varsity and then varsity. The team will then return to conference play on Friday and Saturday as they travel to face the Moorcroft Wolves and the Big Horn Rams.
