Patriots tame Wolves

The Upton-Sundance Patriots secured their first victory of the season this past weekend, as they traveled to Moorcroft to face off against Wolves.

The Patriots were the first on the scoreboard Friday night as quarterback Eli Gill connected with Rhett Watt on a 21-yard touchdown pass. Parker Skeens then added the extra point, giving the Patriots an early 7-0 lead.

From there, the game turned into a defensive battle as both teams traded stops throughout the second and third quarters. As the fourth quarter unfolded, the Patriots were back in scoring range. Gill delivered a 22-yard pass into the endzone, finding Watt once again and pushing the Patriot lead 13-0, sealing their first win of the season.

The Upton-Sundance Patriots look to extend their win streak this week as they prepare to take on the Tongue River Eagles on Friday, in Upton. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
