The Bulldog cross country team couldn't outrun the heat last week as they participated in the Glenrock Invite on Friday.
"A number of Bulldog runners took advantage of the flat, asphalt course and set personal records. Although the temperature was in the 80s at race time, the team didn't let it bother them. They've stayed acclimated to the heat this season and have persisted in improving," coach Ann Marie Mickle stated.
The Bulldog boys had an impressive finish as each individual runner set a personal record at the meet and, as a team, placed third overall. Setting the pace for the Sundance team was senior Angel Villegas, who placed third with a time of 18:23.
Teammate Kyten Johnson was not far behind taking 14th with a time of 20:25, followed by Rylan Ashiem at 21:46 and Jager Mclaughlin who finished with a time of 22:39.
In the junior high division Shae Crago, Taylor Ashiem, Trinity Finn and Mason Neiman all set personal records as well. Eva Stark, Remington Johnson, Tyce Erickson, Trapper Idler and CJ Koep also participated at the junior high division.
