Runners set personal records at Spearfish

The Sundance cross county team traveled to Spearfish this past week to compete in one of their more challenging meets of the season.

"The team rose to the occasion and ran hard against bigger, stronger schools. Team members approached the meet with confidence and positive attitudes, which I believe earned them four personal records," coach Ann Marie Mickle stated.

Four Bulldog runners had breakthrough performances as they each set a new personal record (PR). Leading the charge was senior Angel Villegas who competed at the varsity level, finishing with a time of 10:19.60. 8th graders Eva Stark (13:30.87) and Trinity Finn (20:57.12) also set PRs in their respective races, as well as 7th grader CJ Koep, who ran 3000 meters in 14:48.81

The Sundance team will continue to strive for personal records as they compete in Belle Fourche on Thursday of this week.
