Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I am writing to formally demand the resignation of Secretary of State Chuck Gray and the members of the Crook County GOP who I believe were involved in the recent illegal donation made by the Crook County Republican Party to the Wyoming Freedom Caucus PAC.

It is my belief that this donation was unlawful, and is my believe that the only reason the funds were returned was due to the diligence of Senator Ogden Driskill, who exposed this illegal activity.

The Wyoming Freedom Caucus PAC’s subsequent claim of returning the money for the sake of transparency is disingenuous. I believe it is evident that the funds were returned because they were caught in a blatant violation.

This incident is not merely a matter of oversight; it reflects a concerning willingness to engage in and overlook illegal political activities. As such, I believe it is imperative that all true Republicans in Crook County call for the immediate resignation of every committee member who voted to authorize this illegal expenditure.

Furthermore, I believe that Secretary of State Chuck Gray must also resign, as his willingness to ignore such activities is unacceptable and undermines the integrity of our political and fair elections processes.

The actions taken by those involved have damaged the trust of the public and the reputation of the Republican Party in Wyoming. Therefore, I urge you to take the necessary steps to restore integrity and accountability by ensuring the resignation of those responsible.

Sincerely,

A True Republican,

Buck Bock

Dear Editor,

Do you have an invasive noxious weed on your property? If you own property near exits 185 and 187 or near the City of Sundance landfill, you have a high probability of it on your land.

The plant I am speaking of is Spotted Knapweed. It’s a pretty purple flower in the late summer, but nothing grazes it, not even the wildlife.

It spreads very rapidly by seed in the fall, especially if you mow it. The best and most economical way to control is by spraying before it sets seed, usually early summer.

If you don’t know how devastating this plant can be, take a trip to Missoula MT, a very similar ecotype as the Black Hills. You will see millions of acres of this plant, all over their pasture lands and throughout the forest.

Let’s all leave this land for our children and their kids in a healthy condition. Please look this plant up and know what it looks like. The best time to suppress an epidemic is at the initial infestation.

This plant first showed up in our county about 20 years ago and now is gaining a foothold. If you find this plant and want to do something, please contact the County Weed and Pest. They have options for treatment.

Sincerely,

Terry Everard
