Wyoming Wednesday once again brought a crowd to town for the annual burnouts, walking tacos and motorcycle appreciation. While the visitor numbers were again more modest than they have been in the past, it was a relatively peaceful experience for all. It was definitely quiet, says Sheriff Jeff Hodge, which seems to have been the norm for the past several years. Only one arrest was made, for sexual battery. According to the figures from Sturgis, attendance was up a little from last year but below the five-year average. By Friday, a total of 371,841 vehicles had entered Sturgis, compared to the five-year average of 388,877.
