Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
Fair week wrapped up for another year with a finale of smiles and cheering.
A busy parade made its way along Main Street in Sundance on Saturday morning with participants ranging from volunteer emergency personnel to political candidates, local business and 4-H clubs. This kicked off a day of events including a BBQ, the crowning of the rodeo royalty and, of course, the annual livestock sale.
With temperatures reaching triple digits midweek, it was a hot one for all concerned, but the show went on and it did so with rousing success. From animal shows to rodeo, the fairgrounds were buzzing with activity all week long.
Above, the honor guard leads the parade. Right, the ranch rodeo was a success, though some of the animals were more spirited than others in the 100-degree temperature.
