REPORTS
Crook County Emergency Manager, Ed Robinson, reported on the Region 1 Hazard Mitigation Plan. It includes all of the emergencies that can happen within our region. It is updated every 7 years. Asking the City to approve the plan through resolution and add a link to the city website so the public can access the plan.
Crook County Sheriff, Jeff Hodge, reported that things are going well. 132 incidents for June.
Fire Chief Gari Gill reported that he has been watching the weather and he will allow fireworks to still be set off July 3-5, 2024. We are supposed to be getting more rain. They have also received a couple more application to join the volunteer fire department.
Mac Erickson, Public Works Director, reported that they are in crunch time for the 3rd Street/Cleveland Waterline Project and need the contract signed by October 1, 2024. Need to split into a couple of projects when it is bid out.
Ryan Christiansen, Trihydro, reported on being on the final design for the 3rd Street project. Need to split bidding into two projects. Landfill monitoring ongoing. Want to look at water monitor and look at water pressure up in Sundance West with the Kahler water application.
Mark Hughes, City Attorney, asked if the Sheriff will enforce the new ordinance on no street parking on East Sewell Street, if adopted. He wanted to thank Brad and the Wyoming DOT for the work they did on the slide area by Jackson Hole. Prepared a cost share agreement between the City of Sundance and Josh Kammerer and Mountain View Adventures. Would like the council and Josh to review and give suggestions.
Joe Wilson, Councilmember, reported on the WAM Conference. Would like all those running for office to attend the region meetings to see what the towns/cities need to bring in front of legislature. Hopefully a new director will be hired soon.
