Americans for Prosperity to host discount meal event

Enjoy a discount at The Longhorn Saloon & Grill this Friday courtesy of Americans For Prosperity (AFP), a libertarian conservative advocacy group hoping to bring awareness to their view of the impact of “Bidenomics” on the average American.

“At the Longhorn on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to close, every customer will receive a 17% discount,” says Tyler Lindholm, State Director.

“That’s funded by AFP Wyoming, and that 17% represents the average percentage increase in price at restaurants across the country since Biden took office.”

AFP will be picking up the difference, he says, to prevent the Longhorn from seeing a dip in profits and also in the hopes of demonstrating how much inflationary spending has cost the average citizen.

A wrapped vehicle will also be on site, Lindholm says.

“It’s a giant van that says Bidenomics on the side of it. When President Biden first coined the term Bidenomics in the White House, talking about how great his economics were, they forgot to register the domain name,” he says.

“My organization bought it and we’re in a little different political stance than Biden, so on Bidenomics.com we talk about the actual cost of inflationary spending and what that has meant to the average person in Wyoming and the United States.”

It’s an awareness campaign that will also keep a little extra money in people’s pockets, he says. Anyone and everyone is invited to enjoy a discounted dinner and talk to the AFP staff and volunteers on site about the issue.

“We want to talk to everybody, even if they disagree with us about the reasons for inflation,” Lindholm says.
