Financial literacy

Sundance State Bank staff Whitney Butler, Shelly Elwood and Shane Wolf were welcomed by the senior class at Sundance Secondary School on April 23. In honor of National Financial Literacy Month, they visited with the students about credit scores, credit cards versus debit cards, the process of getting a loan and the importance of building and monitoring credit for a sound financial future.

National Financial Literacy Month was first recognized in the U.S. in April 2004. This was done to highlight the importance of being financially literate and to make people learn about the ways and techniques that can help them in becoming financially smart.
