Monty J. Clark, 68, of Beulah, Wyoming, passed away on April 12, 2024, in his home.
Monty was born to Lewis and Shirley Clark, on February 23, 1956 in Bozeman, Montana.
His early childhood was spent in the Madison Valley of Montana, where he loved exploring the great outdoors with his siblings. Monty left home at a young age to start working, he was always a hard worker.
In the early '80s, Monty relocated to Gillette, Wyoming, marking the beginning of his distinguished career as a carpenter and his journey as family man. Monty's reputation as an expert framer then brought his family to Aladdin, Wyoming, where Monty worked in Spearfish and Rapid City. One of Monty's many talents included his art. He made unique leatherwork, woodwork and even custom-made spurs, bits and jewelry.
Monty's love for the great outdoors was unwavering, and he felt most at home in the picturesque Aladdin area. He reveled in a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, trapping, camping and anything else that allowed him to embrace nature, particularly when the sun was shining bright.
Monty was a tough cowboy with a kind and gentle soul. He made friends with everyone and absolutely adored his grandchildren. Monty made a lasting impression on many throughout his life and he will be truly missed.
Monty is survived by his children, Jamie and Triton; his step-children, Shannon and Derrik; grandchildren, Lane, TayEtta, Sydney, AuBrea, Emma, Paesyn, James, Maddox, Jordyn and Kailey; as well as several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Tana, Cathy, Marvin and Shirlena. Monty was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Shirley; his sons, David and Chase; and grandson, Ruhel.
Monty's family will host a service on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1 p.m. The service will be held at one of Monty's favorite spots: The Island Ranch Swimming Hole in Beulah, Wyoming.
A burial will follow at the Beulah Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life immediately following at Saloon 333 in Beulah.
