The high flood waters of Skull creek last week again did considerable damage to the Y T dam on the Julius Bock ranch. The dam was severely damaged about a week ago and with the flood waters this week the damage was considerably more than previously. In addition to the large amount of earth washed away the dam was completely drained so that it will leave Mr. Bock without water for irrigation purposes.
Fire devastated the ranch home of Charlie Ives in Pleasant Valley Tuesday afternoon, starting from the kitchen pipe in some manner. Mr. Ives was at Beulah and Mrs. Ives was alone until neighbor help arrived. The house was completely destroyed but most of the furniture taken out. The blaze communicated to the barn and this was a complete loss, with a lot of feed, chickens and small calf. The granary, containing several hundred bushels of seed grain, was saved by heroic work. The blow is a severe one to Mr. and Mrs. Ives as they had no insurance and are practically compelled to make a new start in life.

A dog may have saved Mrs. Harry E. Reynolds of Williams Divide from serious injury, April 19: Mrs. Reynolds was knocked down by a horned milk cow while feeding the animal. The family’s dog which was with Mrs. Reynolds at the time drove the animal off before it could continue its attack. Mrs. Reynolds suffered a broken collar bone in the fray. No reason is known for the action of the supposedly mild animal.

Construction of the new building started last year and was completed earlier this winter. The steel building is located just east of Sundance on a 5-6 acre site on U. S. 14. Its 14,000 square feet of space is twice as large as the company’s former quarters in Sundance. Tracy said grand opening festivities will feature free food and the awarding of various door prizes.
