Cookies for heroes

Girl Scout Troop 1989 made a special trip around town last week bearing boxes of cookies for heroes of the community. This year, the girls nominated Crook County Memorial Hospital staff and residents and the Crook County Sheriff's Office as the recipients of their collection of cookies. As the girls have sold the popular treats this season, they have offered the opportunity to also donate towards the cause. They combined the cookie-giving trip with a community service: picking up trash along the sides of the roads along their travels.
