Dianne Marie Wenande

Beloved wife, mother and cowgirl.

Dianne was born in Gillette, Wyoming on June 28, 1952 to Bob and Bonnie Wenande. She was raised on the family ranch north of Gillette. She attended country school and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1970.

Her love of rodeo began at the Little Levi rodeos and continued into the NRCA Rodeo Association. She loved her horses and enjoyed her time training them.

She and her husband, Ron enjoyed splitting their time between their homes in Sundance, Wyoming and Tonto Basin, Arizona.

Dianne is survived by Ron McCartney, her husband of 25 years; her daughter, Sunny Roberts of Gillette; her brother, Bill Wenande of Copenhagen, Denmark; and her sister, Debbie Anderson of Pine Haven, Wyoming.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Bonnie Wenande, grandparents William and Gertrude Wenande and Charles and Mary Rourke.

Dianne had many extended family members and special friends that will keep her memory close to them.

Dianne passed away after a very courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Payson, Arizona.

Private services will be held at a later date.
