December 13, 1923

Ernest Pattinson is carrying mail on the Aladdin-Alva line, succeeding Jack Minnis, who with his family is leaving for California to spend the winter.

Dr. C. L. Calvert moved about 400 sheep into Sundance Saturday enroute to the home ranch in Grand Canyon. The band was purchased from W. A. Ripley of Hulett.

One of the curious anomalies of our fall weather was shown Saturday when Matt Whalen of Aladdin was plowing with a gang plow, while Sundance people were looking up bob sleds.

It is reported that the ranch home of John Lovelady on the Upton road burned to the ground Monday night about midnight. There was no one living in it at the time and the origin of the fire is unknown.

December 16, 1948

A large Christmas tree stands in the middle of Main Street in Sundance for the first time since the Christmas before Pearl Harbor. Securing of the tree was sponsored by the city and was located, cut and hauled by Bill Mc-Grath, Ward Cure and George Gorsuch.

A snappy variety revue with some of America's top entertainers will be given by Tracy Motor Company at the Commercial theater. The event will feature a group of seasoned troupers including Bud Jacobson, prince of magicians, Dona Rita Smith, singer and acrobatic dancer, and Isabel and Bud Reuter, whose skating act is sensational and their neck spin is a breath stopper. "Happy" Lowell Oss will play your favorite accordion tunes. The program will also contain new color movies of education, travel and comedy.

December 17, 1998

Election of new officers of the Sundance Chamber of Commerce was one of the main items on the agenda of the chamber held Tuesday at higbee's cafe. The chamber will be headed up by David Wehrly, President, Mike Mathis, Vice President and Cindy Waller as secretary and treasurer.
