The most important touch is added to this year's Boot Tree.
Kids from Girl Scout Troop 1989 and the Sundance Methodist United Church helped to hang tags on the Boot Tree inside Sundance Hardware this weekend, part of the annual effort to make sure every child in the community has a gift waiting for them under the tree on Christmas Day.
Stop in at the hardware store to see the tree, which is now festooned with numerous tags that provide the details of individual present recipients. Each tag details the age and gender of the recipient, and some also include suggestions for the type of gift you might like to buy.
If you would like to put a gift under the tree for a deserving local child this Christmas, simply visit the tree to choose your tag and return the present to be given to its recipient.
"The gifts are due back December 8 and can be turned in at the hardware store," says organizer Jamie Jessen.
