The remaining five students taking the new "sports officiating" class at Sundance High School have now had the chance to put their skills into action. Riley Marchant, Savanna Williams, Avery Marchant, Angel Villegas and Gracie Davis were put into action in the recent junior high games versus Hulett School. The class was introduced this semester as both an opportunity for the students to expand their skills and understanding of different sports and to assist with the national shortage of sports officials. Meanwhile, the class has moved on to learning how to officiate wrestling; below, Savanah Peterson practices and hopes to soon be out on the mats with her whistle.
