Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
On the road last week, the Upton-Sundance Patriots traveled to Shoshoni to face the Cokeville Panthers. In the past, the Panthers have squashed Upton-Sundance’s chances of moving on in the playoffs, but this time it was the Patriots who took the regular season victory with a 13-6 win over Cokeville.
The Panthers were first on the board, scoring in the second quarter and taking a 6-0 lead into halftime. The Patriots, however, continued to push and were able to score twice in the fourth quarter, first with a one-yard rushing touchdown by Keaton Mills and one more time when Mills connected with Rhett Watt for 33 yards and a touchdown.
One successful extra-point attempt gave the US Patriots the 13-6 victory over the Cokeville Panthers.
The Patriots will be in Big Horn this week, facing off against the Rams on Friday night.
