Volksmarch to take place at Ranch A

The Black Hills Volkssport Association will be sponsoring a volksmarch next weekend in the beautiful grounds of historic Ranch A, near Beulah.

The event will be taking place on August 19 and will include both a 5k and 10k option.

If you would like to take part, visit the Lodge to register on the day.

Participants can get started at any time between 8 a.m. and noon and must be finished by 4 p.m.

The 5k option is rated 1-B and will take marchers along the John Shoffstall Memorial Trail and the gravel road through the ranch.

The 10k option is rated 2-B and will take in the 5k route as well as a section of the Dugout Gulch Botanical Trail.

The Black Hills Volkssport Association is a nonprofit with a mission to provide club members and guests with safe and enjoyable opportunities to participate in noncompetitive walking and biking events. The club hosts a number of year-round and seasonal events around the region.
