The storm system that blew through the area Saturday spawned several funnel cloud sightings by area residents. At one point a funnel cloud descended from the clouds above Sundance, triggering the warning sirens in town. Another tornado touched down at the DJ Lantz Ranch southeast of Sundance on Moskee Road. The twister first uprooted some tall pine trees just north of the ranch house. It then skipped about 200 feet and damaged several outbuildings. Some buildings it just turned over off their foundations, others it picked up and threw across the land for the next quarter mile.
