The Spearfish Creamery gives notice in this issue that the Sundance Creamery will open about June 1. The backward and cold spring has delayed dairy operations, although Mr. Linander says if conditions warrant, the station will be opened before that date.
Drilling operations will soon begin on Cole Divide, 14 miles from Sundance on the Moorcroft road. A.R. Cole is installing a standard rig on his property and nine truck loads of machinery are already on the ground.
Petitions have been received by the Sundance Commercial club for signatures praying for the construction of a bridge across the Belle Fourche at Devil's Town. These petitions were prepared by the B.B. Hiway association and the object is to secure the co-operation of tourists this summer thereby giving wide publicity to the movement.

Cloma Evans, seventh grader of Oshoto, won first place in the spelling contest held in Sundance last Saturday. Her teacher is Mrs. Lucy Jones of Carlile. Nancy Morgan of Hulett won second place. Doreen Fort and Barbara Mahoney tied for third place and Roberta Nilson won fourth.
Members of the N.E. Wyo. Hereford Association have been busy the fore part of this week building additional sheds at their sale barn on the fairgrounds in preparation for their eighth sale of purebred Herefords. The consignments at the sale will comprise the best Herefords in this section and will include 40 yearling bulls, 13 two-year old bulls, five yearling heifers and 12 two-year old heifers.

Sundance voters Tuesday overwhelmingly elected businessman Ray Buckman as the city's mayor for the next two years. Voters also elected Don Cave and Curtis Moberg to four-year terms as councilmen and strongly supported some type of dog control measure.
