The weather cooperated and the golf team found their way onto the greens twice this past week, hosting the Sundance Invite on Friday and traveling to Upton to compete in the Newcastle Invite.
Despite being the first meet of the spring season, the Bulldog golfers were top notch. Senior Sheridan Schubarth took top honors for the day shooting an 84 at her last Sundance tournament.
Teammate Savanah Peterson wasn't far behind, chipping in a 91, topping her own personal record and placing third. Karen Ulmer also set a personal record during the Invite as she shot a 113 for the day.
Avery Marchant rounded out the Sundance team, putting up a 128. The Lady Bulldogs finished in second place, as a team, with a combined score of 288.
In the boys' division freshman Owen Watt led the Bulldog charge with a score of 97, placing third for the day. Spencer Lubken and Braydon Sanders added a 6th and 8th place finish with scores of 106 and 113 respectively.
Halden Harmon, Corbind Crowder and Klase Hento rounded out the Sundance boys, helping the team to a first place team finish with a combined score of 435 at the Sundance Invite.
On Saturday the Bulldog golfers traveled to Newcastle to compete in the Upton Invite. Savanah Peterson took a second-place finish on the girls side, with a final score of 96. Teammates Karen Ulmer and Avery Marchant shot a 127 and 131 respectively, as the ladies took third place as a team for the invite.
The Bulldog boys also finished third as a team in Newcastle. Braydon Sanders led the team shooting 101 for the course followed by Owen Watt, who finished 8th with a score of 103.
Spencer Lubken rounded out the top ten for the Sundance team with a score of 114. Corbin Crowder and Klase Hento also competed in Newcastle, putting up 145 and 148 respectively.
The golfers took on Devils Tower the beginning of the week.
The Sundance golf team will have a busy week as they hit the greens at Wright and Lusk.

The Sundance junior high golf team was also able to hit the course this past week, competing in the Gillette Invite as well as the Wee Links and the Sundance Invite. In the junior high division of the Sundance Invite Porter Watt shot an 89, taking first place honors for the boys. Teammates Cash Peterson and Luke Cain put up scores of 101 and 119 respectively.
The Sundance team also saw good scores as they competed in Gillette. Brooks Watts took third place finishing with a score of 34 while teammates Jake Krell and Porter Watt tied for 9th with a score of 43.
Competing in the Wee Links it was Lydia Castelli and Luke Cain who led the Bulldog teams with the low scores of 50 and 51 respectively.
The junior high golfers competed at Devils Tower on Monday this week.
