Sundance State Bank staff Melissa Dauphinais and Shelly Elwood were welcomed by the senior class at Sundance High School on April 25. In honor of National Financial Literacy Month, they created a presentation for the students titled 'Spilling the Tea on Financial Literacy'.
The program focused on checking and savings accounts as well as the importance of saving money for a sound financial future.
National Financial Literacy Month was first recognized in the U.S. in April 2004. This was done to highlight the importance of being financially literate and to make people learn about the ways and techniques that can help them in becoming financially smart.
