WWII POW camp book focus of library program

The Crook County Library and Crook County Historical Society invite you to join us for a presentation on World War II POW Camps of Wyoming by Cheryl O'Brien on Fri., Apr. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Crook County Library meeting room.

O'Brien will be presenting live via GoToMeeting, a virtual platform. There will be opportunity for questions and answers and refreshments will be provided by the Crook County Historical Society.

O'Brien's book, World War II POW Camps of Wyoming, was published in 2019 and selected as Wyoming's 2020 Great Read by the Wyoming State Library.

O'Brien will share information, photographs and stories by former POWs, U.S. Army personnel and local residents about the work the POWs did and what life was like in the Wyoming POW camps.

O'Brien has published several articles on historical topics, including "Camp Dubois, WY: A Legacy of Literature," published in the Annals of Wyoming (2015) and "Nineteen Camps: World War II POWs in Wyoming," published 11/19/21 by WyoHistory.org
