Lack of snow doesn’t seem likely to cause a problem this year as the Sundance Winter Festival gears up for a day of downtown fun.
“Everything is on track, looks like we have plenty of snow,” said organizer Tony Barton last week as he delivered a final report to the Sundance City Council.
The festival kicks off on February 18 at 10 a.m. on Main Street and will center around the ski joring contest.
Competitors will be divided into five divisions: snowboard, powder puff (females aged 18+), young guns (34 years old or younger), classic (35 years old or above) and open (ages 18+). Registration for...
