The Sundance Lady Bulldogs closed their regular season with a conference game against the Big Horn Rams on Friday afternoon. The energy level was high for the Lady Bulldogs, who came out scoring the first string of points.
The Lady Rams, however, did not take long to settle in and overtake the Bulldogs’ initial lead. Sundance kept the score close as the teams traded point for point, with neither side gaining much ground.
With the score tied at 18, Big Horn came down with some heavy hits, and began to pull away from the Bulldogs. Despite a great team effort by the Bulldogs, Big Horn took the first game 25-22 over Sundance.
The Rams kept their momentum into game two, stunning the Bulldogs with nine unanswered points and taking a commanding lead. Sundance struggled to overcome the initial deficit and fell in game two, 13-25.
The Lady Bulldogs pulled back together throughout game three, keeping the score close once again, but the Rams’ presence at the net was not something the Bulldogs had an answer for and Big Horn took a game three victory 25-16.
The Sundance Lady Bulldogs close their regular season with an 11-14-2 overall record and a 2-4 record in the conference.
