Veterans and their kids invited to range day

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4311 invites all Crook County veterans to bring their kids and their hunting rifles to the Sundance Rod and Gun Club range just off WY 585 at 9 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 1. VFW members will assist in sighting in/zeroing their hunting rifles in preparation for the 2022 deer and elk season. A certified NRA safety instructor will run the range with standard safety measures in place. It is asked that attendees bring individual personal protection equipment - at a minimum, hearing and eye protection. Post 4311 will pay the annual Rod and Gun membership for all participants. Once everyone is sighted in, there will be a mini competition with a small prize to the winner. The VFW is glad to sponsor this event and look forward to a morning, or day, depending on turnout, of camaraderie and supporting the greatest of Wyoming pastimes, hunting. Water, snacks, and/or lunch depending on turnout is provided. If you have any questions, feel free to call Jim Cudney at (307) 286-2634, Ralph Goodson (307) 290-2032 or Ken Byrne at (307) 290-9011. We look forward to seeing you there!
