The Town Council met this day in regular session at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Paul Brooks presiding.

City Engineer Karla Greaser updated the council on the Sundance Kid Tank project. The tank is ready to start filling and test.
Clerk Treasurer Kathy Lenz reported that she has not heard back on the Pickle Ball Grant application.

COUNCIL MEMBER MARCHANT MOVED, COUNCIL MEMBER STEVENSON SECONDED a motion to approve RESOLUTION NO 9, 2022 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE LOAN BOARD FOR A GRANT THROUGH WATER AND SEWER ARPA GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNING BODY FOR THE CITY OF SUNDANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN-TO MAP OUT FUTURE PROJECTS AND DEVELOPMENT. All ayes. MOTION CARRIED.
COUNCIL MEMBER HILTY MOVED, COUNCIL MEMBER MARCHANT SECONDED a motion to approve RESOLUTION NO 10, 2022 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE LOAN BOARD FOR A GRANT THROUGH WATER AND SEWER ARPA GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNING BODY FOR THE CITY OF SUNDANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF 3RD STREET PROJECT TO REPAIR A MAJOR LEAK OF 50,000 GALLON PER DAY AND CONNECTING THE SOUTHSIDE AND NORTHSIDE OF TOWN FOR MORE EFFICENT PRESSURE FOR FIRE SUPRESSION. COUNCIL MEMBER MARCHANT MOVED, COUNCIL MEMBER STEVENSON SECONDED Allow the Mayor to sign an agreement with Bearlodge Engineering for survey work. All ayes, MOTION CARRIED.
COUNCIL MEMBER MARCHANT MOVED, COUNTIL MEMBER HILTY SECONDED a motion to close 4th Street on Saturday July 16th at the NAPA store for a car show. All Ayes, MOTION CARRIED.
Mayor Brooks accepted a letter of resignation from Clerk Treasurer Kathy Lenz. The Mayor and Council expressed gratitude for her years of dedication and service to the City of Sundance.
COUNCIL MEMBER HILTY MOVED, COUNCIL MEMBER MARCHANT SECONDED a motion to accept the June 27, 2022 land use minutes as presented. All ayes, MOTION CARRIED.
COUNCIL MEMBER HILTY MOVED, COUNCIL MEMBER MARCHANT SECONDED a motion to approve a variance for Bill Barton. The variance allows a setback change from 25 feet to 10 feet due to landscaping issues. All ayes, MOTION CARRIED.

Department Head Reports:
Crook County Sheriff reported 78 calls for the month.
Fire Chief Gari Gill will open a savings account with funds available in his budget. The department will continue to do fund raisers as needed.
City Engineer Karla Greaser stated it has been a pleasure working with Clerk Treasurer Kathy Lenz and wished her the best.
Mayor Brooks, City Council Members and Department Heads acknowledged Clerk Treasure Kathy Lenz contributions to the City which will be greatly missed.
