The Sundance Chamber of Commerce has confirmed that its summer movie night series will be taking place on Tuesday nights.
The first is scheduled for June 14 and the movies will run weekly until August 9. If weather causes a movie to be cancelled, August 16 may be used as a back-up date.
The movies will be free to the public and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Start time may vary according to equipment needs and light requirements.
While the names of most movies have not yet been made available, three have already been confirmed, says Jaime Jessen of the Chamber of Commerce: The Goonies, Space Jam: A New Legacy and Encanto.
Additional titles will be posted at the chamber’s website at sundancewyoming.com on the Events page nearer to the time.
Food trucks and concessions are expected to be available during each showing. Says Jessen, the chamber is looking for food trucks and anyone interested can email her at [email protected].
Sponsorships are available for businesses, organizations and groups who would like to fund the movie rights and other costs. Contact [email protected] for more information.
The Sundance City Council gave the nod to the program in April, granting permission for the chamber to make use of the equipment at the city’s newest park and to use the concession stand.
