Places

He makes my feet like the feet of deer and sets me on my high places. Ps. 18:33

All of us go places. The kitchen, store, post office, someone’s house or on vacation. It is coming or going, for better or worse.

What often gets lost in the going is little is seen, heard or learned. All our places resulting in no gain.

We end up existing merely to survive and miss what, where and why God has made, created and purposed us. When we begin to comprehend our positioning, we see, hear and learn what is needed to live fully.

Reality solidifies, life takes shape and we go places with purpose.

The Garden of Eden was the perfect place, yet Adam and Eve went looking for more. Giving away paradise (position) for a lie, undervaluing truth.

The learning of placing and abundance of life is getting past its ugliness and to see the goodness God is intending. Beauty and fullness of living are seeing how paradise is placed within the pain.

Once the ideal (Eden) was lost, it was never coming back. Our society doesn’t want us to own anything, only to endure, with no attachment to anything or anyone. That is senseless (selfish) and a faded isolated inheritance.

You cannot deny God’s proper place in your life and expect peace. It does not make a difference where you are or what you do, a mind set on self destroys the goodness and changes the meaning of your place.

There never will be a “happy place” as denial of God makes you king of something that is not rightfully yours. Living becomes cheap and a spot to seek refuge is never found. Situations desired cannot be created as they are never recognized as good.

Humanity is displaced on earth without God. It becomes an enameled cruelty experiencing lonely, anxious, precipitous living, existing and demanding its own way. The resulting chaos is clearly seen, heard and individually witnessed. We either accept or deny God’s presence in our place while living with the resulting consequences.

You are not an island. You cannot manufacture paradise. It is not in your power, ability, or control. Only One is capable as God alone knows the heart of His creation and your greatest need. You are where you are at. Are you doing what you need to be? Find God’s peace in His perfect placing.

“Child of God, you cost Christ too much for Him to forget you” – C.H. Spurgeon
