Purpose

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end – Ecl. 3:11

There exists purpose in life. This is not found in a procedure but in a process that works itself toward goodness (righteousness). This ultimate purpose of life is not something cheap, quick or easy, nor an item that we may fabricate on our own.

It is lovingly placed into every soul by the Creator of the universe and fulfilled through knowing and believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Snapshot of Ecclesiastes 3:11:

Eternity: Infinity, time without end, hidden time in the heart.

Amplified Bible: A divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy.

Common English Version: He puts questions in our minds about the past and the future.

We were all made to know God and live for Him. If not living for what we were created to do, we are immediately out of step with The Creator and our intended purpose. Apart from God, our existence is nothing but selfish disobedience that results in misery.

We all know that life is difficult and different. Left to our own solutions of satisfaction, it will become an insupportable loneliness and painstakingly without promise. We are giving guidance along the way as King David realized and wrote in Psalm 143:10:

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Without a purpose, plan and submission to what God has lovingly placed in the heart, the wisdom gained through life only leads to weariness. You are provided plenty of assurances through the process called life that leads to God’s ultimate reassurance through His Son, Jesus.
