Michigan man arrested for fourth drunk driving offense

A Michigan man faces felony drunk driving charges after allegedly being spotted driving erratically on I-90 while in the process of moving to Gillette.

According to court reports, on November 30 at around 2:30 p.m., a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper received a report that Kevin Grusczynski’s vehicle was all over the road, nearly causing crashes and hitting a delineator post.

When the trooper made contact with Grusczynski, he reports observing he had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, poor manual dexterity and inconsistent responses. The trooper could also smell the odor of alcohol on him and note he allegedly had poor coordination and could not stand without stumbling.

Grusczynski allegedly claimed he was moving to Gillette from Michigan and volunteered to park his vehicle and sleep in it if he had to. He allegedly stated that, on a scale of one to ten, he was a five for level of intoxication.

According to the trooper’s report, Grusczynski has a revoked Michigan driver’s license. The trooper also observed Grusczynski was unable to maintain his lane and nearly caused several crashes while he was driving behind him.

Grusczynski has been charged with a fourth offense of driving while under the influence, with three known prior convictions in Michigan between 2015 and 2021.

He has also been charged with misdemeanor counts of driving with a revoked license and failing to drive within a single lane.
