Light

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. ~ Gen. 1:3-4

Light. The first thing God created and placed over the earth and declared good. Light.

Provides the ability to see not only what is, but what isn’t. It simultaneously illuminates and illustrates the beauty of his creation.

Light also allows humanity the comprehension of the where, even if not initially understanding why we are. Light permits God to lead if we are willing to follow His path. It is either light or dark, good or evil, heaven or hell, the choice is ours.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).

Most of us live in a dream world, with our heads in the clouds and our feet off the ground; never seeing the world, and our lives in it as they are.

We plumb the depths of darkness without comprehending the firmness God provides.

Darkness is a road that has deadly depth, but no sense of anything or anyone.

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life” (Jn 8:12).

Light is life and is well acquainted with darkness, as it brightens hope in living. Without light, we slowly die inside as darkness has a false claim on our soul.

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light (Rev 21:23).

Light exposes that which we often like to hide but need to address. Things that are purposefully hidden must be divinely exposed.

Light from God brightens and reveals what was and what is meant to be.

Our eyes are open and now they see all the damage done by humanity.

Our souls feel the continual crushing weight of this world, brought upon it by sin and the ensuing darkness.

Learn about God, self, and the world. The end is much like the beginning with God providing light and life naturally through His Son Jesus Christ.
