Dallas Kenneth Roadifer

Dallas Kenneth Roadifer, 86, from Sundance, Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Fort Meade VA Medical Center in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Dallas was born on April 24, 1935, in Sundance to Clyde and Nettie (Humphrey) Roadifer on the family homestead. He attended local country schools and graduated from Old Stoney in Sundance.

Dallas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He then married Delores (Dee) Bertalot on February 10, 1962.

Dallas worked in Wyoming, South Dakota, Colorado and many other states as a land surveyor, of which his favorite task was boundary surveys in the National Forests. He worked on the Northern Border Pipeline out of North Dakota. He also worked on the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, several airports and subdivisions in and around the Denver Metro area.

Dallas’ greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He especially loved hunting elk in the Bear Lodge and Moskee area and the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

Dallas loved playing pranks, telling stories and jokes. He loved putting a smile on your face – even if you were having a rough day, he would make you smile.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Dee of 59 years; his daughters, Kathy Roadifer of Garden City, Kansas, Marie (Rich) Dimarco of Greeley, Colorado, Holiday (John) Finney of Roundup, Montana and Angel (Lee) Humphrey of Sundance; grandchildren, Meloney (Luke) Bushor, Cassie (Scottlin) Lenz, Austin Humphrey, Mary (Cody) Sund, Dallas Finney, Crystal Haines, Jessica (Steven) Soza, Dawn (Chandler) Vazquez, Chris Haines, Adriana Dimarco, Josh (Amy) Allen, Casey (Megan) Allen, Zach Wedge, Jeremy (Sarah) Wedge and Becky Anderson; great grandchildren, Nathan, Hallie and Kiera Bushor, Zander and Ryland Lenz, Mercy, Brantlee and Sawyer Sund, Elijah, Kayla and Damion Schaefer, Kaylee, Taelyn, Payson and Laetyn Soza, Dorian Vazquez, Tyrus and Kaden Allen, Grayson and Bentley Allen, Jacob Wedge, Kymber and Chase Anderson; brother, Don (Julie) Roadifer; several nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Bob and Dale Roadifer; sisters, Ruth Gurkowski, Reva Roadifer and Darlene Vanzee; brothers-in-law, Bob Gurkowski and Bud Vanzee; great granddaughter, Baby Grace Allen.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance officiated by Pastor Matt Branum.

Burial will follow at the Mount Moriah Cemetery in Sundance. There will be a luncheon following the burial at the Crook County Courthouse basement.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance.
