It may seem like summer only just lost its heat, but the holidays are just around the corner. The Sundance Chamber of Commerce has announced its plans for the Christmas season this year, whether you’re seeking gift ideas or looking to sit back, relax and enjoy the jangle of Santa’s sleigh bells.
Events will kick off this year on Shop Small Business Saturday, November 27. Mark your calendars for a holiday shopping tradition that celebrates Sundance’s small businesses.
Throughout the day, shoppers will be able to take part in the Punch Card Raffle. Purchases of over $5 in Sundance retail establishments will get you a punch for your card, ten of which are needed to complete it.
Cards can then be turned in at any participating retailer or Sundance State Bank by December 1, and a drawing will be held during the Lighted Parade for a chance to win $250 in Sundance Bucks.
Complete your day with the Ladies’ Night Block Party, which begins at the Sundance State Bank meeting room and then travels around town to several other businesses, some of which will also be hosting an assortment of more than 25 individual vendors. You can continue to fill out your punch card during this event.
Tickets went on sale Monday at Wild West Espresso and Serendipity Floral for a slight discount compared to purchasing on the night. Your ticket includes a punch card, wine glass, gift bag and, of course, wine.
As December arrives, so too do the lights and sounds of holiday merriment in a Lighted Parade that will this year follow the theme of “The Sweet Refrain of Christmas.”
This year’s entries will be judged in categories including business/organization, most unique and best use of theme.
Start planning your float now and find your entry forms on the chamber’s calendar at sundancewyoming.com/events; alternatively, email [email protected]. Entries are due by November 29 and the parade itself will take place on December 3.

The Chamber has not yet come to a final decision about this year’s holiday raffle.
