Oct. 27, 1921
T.H. Smelser and Wade Baggett started Saturday to move the Smelser company's Herefords from Houston creek to the Weaver ranches north of Hulett, which will be the company's home ranch for some time to come.
Mrs. Louise Fredrica Cody, widow of the late Colonel William F. Cody (Buffalo Bill), died at her home in Cody, Wyo, last Friday, aged 78, of heart disease.

Ranger T.R. Cochran announced this week that he has resigned his position in the Forest Service to take effect November 22. Cochran will have completed 25 years service as a ranger on the Black Hills Forest and this, he says, is long enough. On December 1 he will start work with the Black Hills Post Co. of Deadwood where he has accepted the position of timber superintendent.
A delegation of four Sundance men went to Cheyenne Monday where they met with the state highway commission Tuesday and discussed the road problems of the county. Going down to attend the meeting were Edwin Rounds, Art and Al Scheldorf and Andy Policky.
That a ban would be put on "Christmas Lighting" in the town of Sundance this year because of insufficient power at the Sundance power plant was announced by Mayor Jay Durfee Wednesday following a meeting of the city council in special session.

The Wyoming Highway Commission this week notified the City of Sundance that seven advertising signs located along U.S. 14 east and west of Sundance are unlawful and must be removed. The commission said a Sundance Commercial Club sign advertising cool mountain drinking water is on highway right of way west of Sundance. Other signs owned by Echo Hill Motel, Edsel's Auto Care, Dick's Standard Service, Log Cabin Café, Lutheran Church and Glen Wyatt have also been declared to be unlawful.

In action on Saturday, Crook County Senior Citizens re-elected Louis Hauber to a second term as president to the county board. Chester Hejde accepted vice-presidency, Jessie Tschetter, secretary for a third term and Opal Oudin was elected to the position of Treasurer. Holdover directors on the board are Bob Roadifer, Sharon Kanode and Barbara Jeffres. Elected were Spike Olson to a second term, Howard Hauber and Shirley Nicolen as new directors.
