Oregon man arrested with selection of controlled substances

An Oregon man was arrested last week after a selection of controlled substances were allegedly found in his vehicle, including ecstasy and Acid.

On August 7 at approximately 11:10 a.m., a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper observed a vehicle traveling at 88 mph in an 80 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. He identified the driver as Ryan Himmler of Oregon.

Himmler allegedly stated he had rented the vehicle in Montana after his own vehicle blew a tire. However, the trooper reports receiving a conflicting story from the passenger and advised Himmler of his Miranda rights.

Himmler agreed to allow the trooper to search his vehicle. The passenger was asked to remove his belongings, which were searched and revealed nothing of note.

A search of the vehicle, however, allegedly turned up a baggy containing suspected Alprozolam pills; a baggy containing green powder consistent with the pills; a green piece of paper containing suspected Acid-laced paper, with designs and perforated into small squares; a baggy of suspected ecstasy crystals; and a sealed bag of an unknown substance.

Himmler allegedly stated he was unsure what the bag of unknown substance was.

Himmler has been charged with one felony count of possession of LSD and one felony count of possession of MDMA, each carrying a maximum penalty of seven years of incarceration, a $15,000 fine or both; as well as one felony count of possession of Xanax in pill form, carrying a maximum penalty of two years of incarceration, a $2500 fine or both.
