A fatal crash occurred south of Sundance on Sunday. Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating driver fatigue as the possible cause.
The crash took place at around milepost nine on Wyoming 116. Troopers were notified at approximately 5:36 a.m. of a one-vehicle rollover involving a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche.
The vehicle was reportedly heading north when it crossed into the southbound lane, exited the left side of the road and overturned.
The driver has been identified as Shon D. Engel, a 41-year-old resident of Upton. Wyoming Highway Patrol reports Engel was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
