Sundance resident Chauncey Jenerou has been sentenced in Circuit Court after felony charges of child abuse were reduced to misdemeanors.
On December 18, a Sheriff’s Office Deputy was asked to investigate reports of a juvenile who claimed Jenerou had physically assaulted them. Jenerou allegedly denied the allegations and claimed he had been messing around with the alleged victim.
Jenerou was charged with one felony count of child abuse, as well as misdemeanor counts of battery and interference with emergency calls. He was found guilty in Circuit Court on the latter two charges and sentenced to 30 days of jail time, a $400 fine and a year of supervised probation.
