Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884

Girls State participants announced

Five Crook County girls, two juniors and three seniors, have applied and have been accepted to go to the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State in Cheyenne in early June: Rhianna Heaster from Sundance High School, Rylee McCollum-Sims, Meaghan Mahoney and Lauren Morgan from Hulett High School and FaithHoney Anderson of Wyoming Virtual Academy.

The girls are proudly sponsored by the Roy Montgomery American Legion auxiliary unit 80 in Hulett Wyoming.

These young ladies are receiving this opportunity to learn about Americanism due to the support of their parents the Auxiliary, the schools and the community. The girls will also learn how our government works, the responsibility we all have to preserve and protect our freedoms and our American way of life.
