Davis graduates with honors

Zachary Davis graduated with International Honors during the Black Hills State University commencement ceremony on Sat., May 8. During the ceremony for the College of Business and Natural Sciences, Davis was granted a degree in chemistry and a certificate in graphic design.

As a University Honors Scholar, Davis completed a research project focused on analysis of levels of trace elements in the soils of the prairie barrens of the Black Hills. There were nearly 400 graduates in the BHSU class of 2021; 11 students graduated with Honors.

Davis plans to pursue a master’s degree in biochemistry at BHSU beginning this summer. He is the son of Peter Davis and Jackie Wyatt and the grandson of Jeanne and the late Glen Wyatt, all of Sundance.
