Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
The Sundance Golf team hosted their triangular this past week as Lusk and Upton ventured their way up to compete against the Bulldogs golfers. Three Lady Bulldogs placed in the top five of the girls’ division as Sheridan Schubarth led the way for Sundance, finishing second with a score of 88.
Not far behind her were teammates Allison Crawford, finishing third with 102, and Ella Bifulco, finishing fourth with a score of 106. On the boys’ side, Parker Speidel paced the Bulldogs, finishing in second with a score of 101 while teammates Spencer Lubken and Peyton Ewing rounded out the top five, placing fourth and fifth respectively.
The junior high golfers also hosted a tournament on Friday. Jake Krell and Porter Watt led the Sundance team with a score of 49, putting them in a three-way tie for third place along with Wheatland’s Brecken Sandlian.
Eli Gill was just one stroke behind Krell and Watt with a score of 50, tying Dylan Nelson of Wheatland for sixth place. Some great golfing by the Bulldog boys allowed them to place third as a team in the tournament.
On the girls’ side of the junior high division, Savanah Peterson took top honors with a score of 56. Teammate Ayla Sanders also placed in the top ten, tying with Haven Haskins of Douglas for tenth place with a score of 85.
The Sundance golf team will be back on the course Tuesday, Friday and Saturday as they compete in Hulett, Lusk and Glenrock.
