Light it up

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all - 1 John 1:5

In a world so seemingly complicated, dark, contentious and twisted by hatred towards one another…I want to take time to look at what is good. Those things given directly to us from God or others that are just plain simple, helpful and nice.

God is light, love and life.

Life is hard, God is good. Don’t get the two confused.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart - Jeremiah 29:11-13

When you try to figure out everything you are exalting your reasoning above God’s thought and plans for you.

In life, God doesn’t necessarily spare us from disaster, He spares us from the dread of disaster.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” - Matthew 16:15

When we don’t know Christ, we make decisions as though this life is all we have.

He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. - Prov. 16:20

To understand evil, first one must know God.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! - Ps. 34:8

There are certain weights/burdens in life you were never meant to carry.

We need to sort through the bad, to see the good and ultimately God’s greatness!

Never forget: God is good!

For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. - Ps. 100:5
