BOARD of TRUSTEES
CROOK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT #1
Preparing Today for Success Tomorrow
CCSD#1 will prepare & empower all students for successful, lifelong learning through effective teaching.
CALL TO
ORDER A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of Crook County School District #1 was held in Sundance, WY, Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the hour of 4:00 PM at central office.
ROLL CALL The meeting opened with the following present: Chairman Brian Marchant; Trustees Chase Williams and Shane Wolf. Trustees Randy Gill and Dave Jagemann attended via Zoom. Trustees absent – Marlene Edwards, Thayne Gray, Ken Rathbun, and Heith Waddell. Administrators present – Mark Broderson, Superintendent; Sandra L. Neiman, Director of Special Education; and Jim O’Connor, Sundance Secondary Principal.
ADOPTION of
AGENDA Motion was made by Trustee Williams and seconded by Trustee Wolf to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
ARRIVAL Trustee Gray arrived at 4:14 PM.
EDUCATION
FUNDING Rep. Chip Neiman came to address CCSD#1 board members about the anticipated state revenue shortfall and its possible effects on education funding. Mr. Neiman is a member of the Wyoming House Education Committee. He asked for input and suggestions on possible areas to cut and answered questions from board members and members of the audience.
ADJOURN-
MENT Motion was made by Trustee Williams and seconded by Trustee Gray to adjourn the meeting at 5:35 PM. Motion carried.
