Thank you
February 19, 2021
Six weeks ago, today, my amazing husband, Rick was killed in a vehicle accident. I have only just begun to understand the devastation this loss has left in our lives.
Over these six weeks I have been so overwhelmed from one end of the spectrum to the other. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the people that have made these weeks more bearable.
Thank you for all the cards, the text messages, phone calls and donations. The wonderful community that I get to call home stepped up and put on a memorial cook-off that was out of this world.
I will not even attempt to thank everyone that made the cook-off happen as I am sure I would forget or miss someone. There are numerous people who made donations of their time, possessions and money to help pull this off. I am thanking each and every one of you for all that you did.
Thank you – Gratitude – Appreciate are all words that we use to convey being grateful and thankful for something. NONE of these words can express my deepest and most sincere gratitude to all of you.
Many of you have asked “What can I do?” Here is what you can do: get your affairs in order (very important), hug and kiss your loved ones and spend as much time as possible with them (most important). If you get the opportunity to have a love like Rick and I did, treasure it like a priceless diamond; everything can change in just a moment. Thank you everyone may God Bless and Keep you.
Deeply grateful,
Sheryl Carbaugh
