Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
For a quarter of a century, the Sundance community has come together during the holidays to make sure every friend and neighbor can enjoy the merry Christmas they deserve.
It’s been a tough year for many people and the need is greater than ever, and so, once again, your assistance is sought to make the season bright through the Sundance Christmas Basket program.
Donations from the community will be used to assist families within the community, making sure parents can dress their kids warmly and put food on the table and gifts under the tree. They will also go towards necessities for local seniors.
Make a donation by dropping off your check at Sundance State Bank, made out to “Sundance Community Christmas Baskets.” Alternatively, visit Sundance Hardware to find the boot tree, where you can make donations of gifts.
More information can be obtained by calling Trudy Durfee at 290-0270 or Jamie Jessen at 605-431-6370.
If you would like to be a recipient of this year’s Christmas Baskets, you can get hold of an application form at the Department of Family Services. Applications are needed by November 30 to make sure there’s enough time to fill your needs.
